Why do people attach islamic belief to one persons actions but not with any other beliefs this is done?
The media is quick to call some type of evil act done a muslim terrorist but im sure if you do the research there are other killing, rapes, etc. and they’re not muslim but they are not labeled with what they believe in. That makes no sense. Serial killers are not labeled the christian or jew serial killer just serial killer. A terrorist is just that a terrorist! Islam is about peace not terror.

That’s not entirely true, actually. The MEDIA doing it doesn’t mean that the whole world does. Often ‘terrorism’ and ‘muslim’ are synonymous because there have been quite a few links, and that’s what people know of the religion. Personally, I’d be rich if i had a dime for every time I’ve heard people attach ‘Christian’ to an action.

There are no Christian or Jewish religious leaders putting out edicts calling for people to commit serial killings. The same cannot be said of Islam.

I heard: there is no such thing as a muslim terrorist, because islam teaches only peace and tolerance, not violence and destruction.

I certainly do believe that Christianity and Judaism motivate believers to atrocious horrors and it is probably de-emphasized, however it is hard to escape judgment when the last thing out of a killer’s mouth is Allah Akbar! So often. I would have liked to meet Theo VanGogh, It pisses me off that some “peaceful” scumbags are making death threats against Ayan Hirsi Ali. What else am I to judge Islam by? You want me to pretend the threat is not real but I will not.

The biggest terrorist attacks that have happened and have been attempted have been done by Muslims claiming that this is what their religion teaches.

Christians and Jews and everyone else murders and rapes and even sometime commits terrorism too, but the difference is they almost never do it because of their religion, but Muslims do.

    Islam is NOT peace!

    please read the quran again!

and to answer your question, the offender probably committed the offense with religious context. Al qaeda are Muslim! and they kill to defend there religion. What’s wrong with that?

but the media also likes to judge and make people look bad, after all it needs to make money and feed us juicy gossip.

It’s probably attached to that persons actions because you can easily trace their actions straight back to the Quran.

I’ve seen people try to justify violence with the Bible (ex.- Ann Coulter) but they do this by taking a handful of vague verses out of context. In the New Testament, the killing is left up to God, it’s not for people to do. There’s no specific verse ordering Christians to kill or enslave people. Bad is repaid with good, to show divine mercy and forgiveness.
