What is the Muslim belief concerning Christians and there final disposition?
Do Christians go to hell? Or can they go to Heaven? What about children of Christians? I have been doing some research into Islam and after reading several sites I have not found a concise answer as there seems to be some conflict of opinion. Thank you for all polite answers.

I’ve never found an exact answer either because their are conflicting opinions. I’ve seen muslims say only those Christians who were born before Islam will go to heaven and I’ve seen muslims say that if a Christian does good, believes in God and the last days they will go to heaven. I know the quran says both so it’s no wonder there are conflicting viewpoints.

Lo! those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians - Whosoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. (69)
Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud. (82)
They will go to hell as they do shirk (associating partners with God - the biggest sin) - since they worship Jesus.
“The Jews call ‘Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is but a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God’s curse be on them; how they are deluded away from the Truth! They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary. Yet they were commanded to worship but One God: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him! (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)” (9:30-31).
The child of a christian will not go to hell, if they die before puberty - as every child who dies before puberty/maturity will go to heaven regardless of their religion. They are not to blame

“…and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant” (5:82).

- But according to Tasfir this was meant for BEFORE prophet Mohammed came and BEFORE Quran was revealed. After that there is no excuse. Of course Allah would not send them to Hell before the revelation of the Quran since they did not know about it.
This is what I have learnt, but Allah knows best and may He forgive me if I am wrong.
I personally believe that ALL monotheists will eventually enter Paradise. Come to think about, the ONLY unforgivable sin in Islam is Shirk or associating a partner with God. So that means EVERY other sin, with the sole exception of Shirk, would be forgiven by God.
Notice, how many times in the Quran, God says that He is ALL-Merciful, ALL-Kind, MOST-Generous and OFT-Forgiving? Even the very idea of Islamic salvation, is to believe in One God and then do good deeds.
[Quran 2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, the Sabeans and the converts; anyone who:
(1) believes in GOD, and
(2) believes in the Last Day, and
(3) leads a righteous life,
will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
PS: by Christians I mean, non-trinitian Christans i.e. those who reject the polytheistic concept of a Triune God.
Unfortunately, though the Muslims like to say, now, that they have no ill will for the Christians, that doesn’t reflect in their behavior towards to them.
The fact is that the Muslims consider all of us, not just the Christians, inferior to themselves.
This is ridiculous coming from a people who are largely impoverished, because of their large families, basically, where it is too large for anyone to comfortably afford a good living.
The large majority of the Muslims, whether you like it or not, are poor and when someone like that says that we are inferior to them, it is really annoying.
The bad attitudes of the Muslims are why most of us avoid them in real life.
I’ve heard all the Muslims say that all Christian and Western Women have no morals, whereas they are chaste. This is very far from the truth, by the way.
Muslim men, despite their many shortcomings, think that every Christian and Western woman is turned on by them, even though this is, again, very far from the truth.
Insofar as they are concerned, their mindset is that all the rest of us should kowtow to them.
Now, when this is their attitude towards all of us, not just the Christians, what do you think is their belief about, for example, you - who’s a non-muslim woman who is, naturally, bereft of any morals, according to their line of thought? You, obviously have no place in their Heaven.
And, your children, who are brought up in the way of of the West!?!? How can they pollute their Heaven?
You don’t need too much intelligence to see the real attitudes of the Muslims if you get to hear how they speak about all of us, among themselves.

Every Child born as a Muslim later on due to influence of their parents they become non-Muslims
so they will go to heaven inshAllah.
Associating partners is the biggest sin .it is as though as some one calls His father’s best as father
And also believes that father’s best friend is also his father . No father can bear such non-sense.
How can almighty Allah bear this ?? But if some one ask forgiveness during his life …Allah forgives them.

Anyone can go to heaven regardless of religion.
To be a good Muslim you have to be a good person.
To accept Allah you need to accept Allah’s teachings.

For a 40 year old agnostic chap, this bloke is ignorant of the fact that ‘Muslim men’ is not a race. A man can be:

Jesus IS the Messiah in Islam. Simply that Muslims dont worship a man as god.

It really doesn’t matter if Muslims believe Christians are going to hell. What matters is if our names are in the Book of Life, and believers of Jesus as Lord are in the Book of Life.
Muslims should be concerned with how they will answer to Jesus on Judgment Day. They really should start worrying about themselves and leave the rest of us alone. Christians are saved and don’t need Muhammad or the Quran.
Personally I believe that EVERYONE if they lived a good-ish life, or resent their negative actions will enter Heavan/Paradise.
Many people believe that anyone outside of their religion will go to forever condemned and sent to Hell. A few years ago, I watched an interview with a Muslim. He said Christians would go to Hell…
