I am very wary of Muslims now, rightly or wrongly,I am.If I am on the Tube and a Bearded chap with a rucksack gets on,I want to get off.

How did we cope in the 80’s and 90’s when the people terrorising Britain were white? We couldn’t tell a person was Irish just by looking at them, so did we just mistrust everyone until we heard them speak? Did we get panic when we heard an Irish accent?
I know your thoughts and feelings aren’t racist, but do you also fear young, white males who are predominatly the perpetrators of crime in the UK?
The point I’m making is, we don’t all think of violence as soon as we see young white men but people do worry when someone we assume is Muslim gets on the tube. The truth is you are more likely to be mugged than caught up in a terrorist act.
I think we all need to take a step back and relax a bit. Muslim does not mean terrorist. And the scaremongering that is called “news” sometimes needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the racist way they speak about us. We may take them into our countries, but they want us to be the same as them, even though they came to western countries to escape the disastrous situations in their own lands. Will the UK be turned into the same hell-hole that they escaped from? I wonder.
PS Do they have to abide by the same laws as Britons, or can they have several wives and punish people the same as they do in Moslem countries? They are certainly very demanding people.

I don’t blame you for feeling like that. I don’t like using the Tube since the bombings but I sometimes have to use it. I have never seen anything peaceful done in the name of islam. They are always angry and full of hate and that is how the rest of us will end up if things don’t change. If you haven’t seen the film Fitna I recommend that you do it now while you can. The spineless powers that be are having it removed from every site in case it upsets the muslims and causes another protest calling for the maker of the film to be beheaded. Did you know that he was invited to come and show his film in the House of Lords but that ‘Lord’ Ahmed had it stopped and threatened to mobilise 10,000 muslims if it was shown. Democracy at its best!

I dont think anything. People are people no matter what race or religion and just because some decided to commit acts of terrorism doesnt mean they are all like that and there is absolutely no excuse for grouping them all together.
I mean no matter what race you are, your still capable of commiting the same attrocities as everyone else and just because media decides to show one race commit them doesnt mean others arent.
Stuff like that is the choice of individual people and thinking like that and fearing pepople for thier race or religion is a load of bull and only adds to the sterotypical hate and racism in this world. With people like that the world is going to constantly be in the sorry state it is in now if not get worse.

I hate to say it but yes,of course i know such thoughts are ridiculous, and is unfair to put such a tag on all Muslims, but if i were to get on a plane in the morning and 2 muslim men got on,yes i would have a moment of quiet panic.I’m not proud of such thoughts though, but i feel they are understandable.
I personally think you’re not a bad person for feeling the way you do…but you’re not a good person either for it ,myself included,if you know what i mean.
I don’t tend to think terrorist when i see a muslim on the street though, only in certain environments like a plane and like you said the tube,i think that makes sense,as when you think about they are certain amounts of extremists in their society that want to see us dead,i think a reaction like yours is simply a survival instinct, automatically put your guard up,like animals in the wild…we’re not too removed from them really.
also i see people here mention the burka ,i was actually in London for the first time a few weeks back, and saw a woman wear a burka, never seen it before.i have to say,and im sorry if i offend anyone, but it creeped the hell outta me,i just felt the was something entirely wrong about a woman dressing that way,i suppose a part of it is that in the west its important to see a person face,in order to trust someone,be a able to read intenions etc, hence the suspicion when you see women wearing a burka,i dont know i just really dont like them,i can live with a hejab, but burkas hmmm.

Neither. It is very difficult to judge a person’s religion at a glance. I very much doubt I could look at someone and tell if he was a muslim, hindu, buddhist or christian. I see a guy with a beard and a rucksack, and all I see is a bearded bloke with a rucksack.
You would probably be better off stopping reading whatever newspaper you read and trying to relax and get on with enjoying life.

Sadly, I’m more inclined to be wary and suspicious. The more “Muslim” they look - ie: beard, garb.. - the more uncomfortable I feel. I don’t apologise for it either, because it’s perfectly natural. In fact, it’s necessary as it keeps people vigilant. I feel for the genuine, peaceful Muslims, though.

yep, whenever i see one now i am looking too see what they are carrying in case it may be a bomb. the next feeling is one of resentment and the desire to send the individual back to their homeland. it is ridiculous i know but recent events have made me feel like this, i personally think its only a matter of time before the west is at war with the muslim world. their beliefs have no place anywhere in the west.

After the terrorist attacks in London I must admit I was a bit concerned for a while when anyone with a rucksack got on the bus/tube. Now I’m not so worried. although its still on my mind. The only time I would panic is if a person was inadequately dressed, for example someone wearing a thick padded anorak on a hot day. I would get off the bus then

I am a Muslim born here. When I hear the word muslim the first thing that comes into my head is terrorist. The worlds a complicated place and filled with conflict these days. On the tube you should just smile. We are all only human after all and shouldnt let the media take the actions of a deluded minority and turn it into a mass fact. Good luck!

No I don’t think of terrorism. I think of the lack of salvation their faith has and I pity them. They walk a hard and lonely road and all for nought.
That may sound like a judgement call but really it isn’t; it’s just an assessment I’ve come to and my personal opinion doesn’t really count about their souls now does it?

You’ve been psy-oped by the Zionist/mossad staged false flag attacks of 9/11, 7/7, Madrid, Bali, Mumbai etc coupled with their relentless propaganda campaign.
If anybody is endangering us it will be somebody trying to stage false flag nuclear attacks to as a pretext to impose Martial law.
fact: ‘The Daily telegraph website has been featuring a “work of art” called Blackjack: A slideshow depicting nuclear explosions throughout England and the U.S. followed by the inevitable introduction of Martial Law……………. The Telegraph has long been presumed to have close links with British intelligence agencies. Their former Director was a Rothschild.’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E177j-bH9…
This is what some believe is what is known as ‘predictive conditioning’ to get the masses conditioned into buying the official account. as happened with the 17 May 2004 Panorama “London under Attack” featured in the Youtube clip and which predicted a scenario similar to the official account of the 7/7 MI6?Mossad false flag attack of 7/705http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&v=1BY…

I agree with =Be yourself,- but I can understand your wariness,
I feel a lot of misunderstanding would eradicated if the face masking were to be abolished in the UK this appearance of a lady is totally incorrect in this country, irrespective of religious beliefs, it does not help ,

i do wonder why they wear clothes that are inappropriate for the climate of britain ……just because they migrated from pakistan is it necessary to dress as though they live there?
i do wonder why they want to stand out and do not want to integrate
and no i do not think peace……

oh my god you can’t live your life like that, when i see a muslim or any other person i dont think anythink other than wich said of the path to walk towards so they have room to pass ,and smile ( i don’t mean other side if the street either)

Unfortunately i think terrorist, and the woman in burkas i look at them as being controlled, i know its not right but we tend to tar people with the same brush just like the terrorist do with european people.

Neither. If it’s a woman in a burka (or however you spell it) I wonder why she’s wearing it and tend to, rightly or wrongly, feel sorry for her.

Maybe so but I wouldn’t voice your fears but keep them private as it could be deemed as ‘racist’. It seems that anything goes where racism is concerned if we are to go by the latest Prince Harry comment in all the papers today.

Neither, I don’t have a sensor that tells me what religion people are.
When I find out people are muslim, I don’t think either of these thoughts either. I judge people on their individual personality not their religion

I think to myself how inconsistent: the idea of the burkha or hajib is to make a woman as inconspicuous as possible for modesty reasons, yet nothing could draw more attention.

My first thought on seeing any person is a human being who I really like. I find a common ground we can relate on, and a new friendship is formed.

I feel very nervous when in a confined space with anyone wearing a burkha. There is something threatening about just being able to see peoples eyes

Can’t speak for others, but definitely first thought is not ‘terrorism’ for me. more like, ‘HI’ or ‘Hello’.

Neither. And it must take you ages to get anywhere if you get off the tube every time you see somebody with a beard and rucksack!

unfortunatly ive got to say terrorisom its not that im racist or anything but they could be hiding anything under there burkhas and you dont know whos behind that balaclava thing the women wear.

my first thought when I see any person of any race is , oh there goes another human being

When I first see a Muslim my first thought is ” I wonder if we’ll get free poppadoms with the meal”.

Terrorism, you’ll probably say OH YOUR RACIST but i also think this when i see an Irish person.

a law should be past that all terrorist should go round with a sign I am a terrorist shoot me!!.not all muslims are bad just because there not waring a sign

Muslims are good people just like christians and jews
Anybody say they no like Muslim is RACIST

You have to get rid of your islamophobia.
