Hey Tolokyo! i’ve always wanted to go to Japan and see the Muslim community there and visit the Masjids because to be honest we don’t hear much about them or know much about them so? you are lucky. So like have you started to read the quran yet? if so how far have you got? and what are your opinions on it? On the obama issue I think he delivered a good speech & he really knows how to communicate with the masses but Actions speak louder then words so we shall see, I’m on the fence with him atm.
Hey didz,I went to a very small community mosque in Tokyo. They were very friendly. I stood outside reading some papers they had displayed, and a local volunteer came out to meet me. He took me inside to the prayer room where there were children memorizing the Qur’an.I’ve read just a little? bit of the Qur’an, but I feel like the meaning is hard to catch in English. I think I should learn at least a little Arabic before I can understand it.
Yes translating the Quran in English or any other language Is differcult because of the fact that the Arabic language of the Quran is of the highest standard? so you can never really get the exact wording, Yes learning Arabic would be good if you get time and try learning some the expressions they use when trying to express things. Who is the translation aurthor of the book if you don’t mind me asking? Because there may be better translators which I could refer to you if you wish.
no at the start there was no shia even when he wasnt a caliph the problem is when ali radya allah anah became a caliph ( he is for muslims sunnah? one of the four great caliph who ruled with justice ) but there was an agreement he made so that no war come between muslims and thats when shia came and not immediately but after a period .
I don’t understand… Is Ali Radya Allah Anah the cousin and son-in-law of the prophet? He made an agreement to stop war and then the shia came? because of that?
he is the cousin but he married the prophet’s daughter . prophet? Muhammad peace be upon him had three sons and they all died when they were still very young . its a long story related to the previous caliph uthman bin afan radya allahu anh . if you want i can send you the story as i know historically . and i thank you for your respect for our symbols much appreciated .
Oh – I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you don’t say “son-in-law”. What do you say for if someone marries your daughter? He’s just your daughter’s husband?I’d love to hear the story of uthman? bin afan radya allahu anh. Can you send me the link? Thanks!
