Afghanistan was left to its own devices until 9/11. The only reason I know of that the US invaded Afghanistan was because Al Quaeda was given sanctuary there, and used it as a base from which to attack America.
True, America has supported corrupt regimes in Asia and Latin America, and I believe they invaded Iraq because of its oil. But Afghanistan was different. It has no wealth. The only rational reason for the US invasion was to protect itself from Al Quaeda.

Islam does allow self-defence and retribution to the extent of wrong done to a Muslim individual or society but it does not allow pre-emptive aggression. I do not defend latter-day Muslim kings and tyrants who were no different from similar non-Muslim rulers of their respective ages.
Afghan Mujahidin and their Muslim supporters had thought that, being allies of the west, they would be helped or at least left to their own devices by the new superpower once Afghanistan was liberated but this did not happen. The new superpower abandoned a devastated Afghanistan to its fate despite pledges to rebuild it after the war, started hunting down “Arab Afghans”, clamped sanctions on one country after the other (Afghanistan, Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran)
US has been supporting dictators,generals and colonels all over the world of Islam
Some Muslms had willngly allowed themselvs to be used by one supepower to fight the other supepower in Afghanstan in 1980s.Now that very same suppower is wagng a relentls war aganst those very same friendy Islamic”mujahidin”it once creatd and suportd with money,arm,technolgy and traing but in the changd scenaro after the collapse of the Soviet Unon they were brandd”terrorists”and hunted down all over the world.
What is regrettable is that some media channels have tried to establish a relation between Islam and terrorism. The acts of a misguided few has been blamed on the entire Muslim community and worst still on the pristine teachings of Islam.
Any sincere and objective researcher who scrutinizes the two basic sources of Islam, would find no commands or justifications to perpetrate violence and acts of terrorism.
Islam prohibits the bloodshed of any innocent human being.

But they are fighting for the exact opposite of freedom. Their vision is about a society wherein amputations, floggings, stonings and hangings are dished out on the authority of self-important men who think they know God’s mind.
..and when we say that there r people who dont want us to live like rest of the world n the way real islam teaches us to live….we dont use a ‘biased filter’ against any one….i live thr so i know whr the funs r coming to them…when i read a bastard like baitullah mehsud planning attacks in islamabad…i rightly know where the 25million $ comes to him from…n when the maggot meets what he deseved…no one more than an ordinary muslim in Pakistan feel rejoiced….

Too many focus exclusively on western involvement. How many muslims died in the Iran-Iraq war? Why is this forgotten, while British actions up to 1947 are not?
Why aren’t Muslims outraged by what their fellow Muslims are doing in Darfur? 300,000 dead there so far. And the taliban bombing civilians in Afghanistan & Pakistan?

1. Yes the Gulf War was based on a lie. But are you including people killed by Saddam and Shia vs Sunni sectarian killings in the Gulf War casualties? The vast majority of these deaths were Iraqis killing one another. Shouldn’t most of the blame lie with them?
2. Things are changing regarding US support Israel, and rightly so.
Blaming the west for everything is wearing thin. Yesterday 12 people were killed in Peshawar by a taliban bomb. Most civilian deaths in Afghanistan are by taliban.
There are more than one Billion Muslims spread across the world. Dont judge them by what happens in a handful of undemocratic kingdoms and Emirates planted in the Middle East by the US/British imperialists.
When you look up the civilian casualty and refugees, who comes on top? Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan. Who has been invading, occupying and waging the war there? Who helped establish Israel and drove millions of Muslim refugees from their homes with no right to return?
The Gulf War based on blatant lies has killed more than 500,000 Iraqi Muslims and created 2.5 million Muslim Iraqi refugees. Who is counting the Muslim civilians being killed by the Americans in Afghanistan?
When our democratically elected Western governments use their veto to support Jewish Israel to continue occupying Palestine and for killing thousands of Muslim Palestinians over more than 40 years.
Muslims keep killing people in the name of allah. Every second day there is a suicide bombing, and it is never by jews, christians, buddhists, hindus, jains or sikhs.

If some creation is worshipping God by doing something it does by nature then so too unknowledgeable ones who do sin and by nature see nothing wrong with being with mistress. That is nature to them. if it is true the bird just by the flapping of wings in flight worship God, then why not a person who does only what is natural?

What do I know about any belief system based on superstition? I know all I need to know… it is weak corupt men trying to control weaker honest men thru superstition and fear. We are beyond religion and you don’t even know it.
