Does Islam Need Defense?

The question for this articles was made to show that Islam are a religion does not need to be defended. For a simple reason, Islam defends itself in theory and practice. But cultural practices in many Arab and Muslim countries give negative expressions to Islam. Islam is a great religion, no matter who accuse it by imperfectness. Islam does not need lawyers or defenders, because it is open to any person in the this world. Like any other religion, It includes a vriety of colors, and of ethnic backgrounds. It has moral and ethical standards universally accepted.

In searching for answering the question: Who accuses Islam? We can guess until we are sure that certain categories made accusations for various ideological,  political or religious or social reasons. For example these categories include:

The non-Muslim followers The Muslim followers themselves, who became ex-Muslims or still Muslims but want to continue with Islam, from intellectuals who are perceived negatively when it comes to rational thinking and reasoning. The atheists who attack all religions including Islam. The temporary accusers for political, or personal reasons.

 Those who accuse Islam as imperfect, they mix understanding to distinguish between pure Islamic belief as a religion and cultural practices among people live in majority or minority of Muslim countries.  Our concern, however, is not those who accuse Islam, but the decent people in this world who have much of Islamic qualities in theory and practice, but stereotyped in general negatively in the media, to be ineffective in their communities in Europe and North America.  They understand natural and physical differences among people, which is normal. We concerned ourselves also of those who deviate from lines of Islam by their actions which tell that they have internal or external mental or physical reasons, all times or sometimes.

For all religions, these deviations may be described as freedom of worship, but limited when they cross the red lines of other beliefs and lead to a conflict. Across history critics have the power to convince other people who are likely listen to what they write and follow their faith by force or choice. In terms of Islam as well as other religions, it has principles and teachings, a standard of morality and ethics. Religions or beliefs do not belong to human beings in the first place. This is the mistake were all religious follower may get into through their dogma. Religion belongs to the One and Only, Almighty, who delegated religions to earth through apostles and messengers and made them available to human race in order for people know each other (according to Qur’an)  and to deal with each other reasonably according to the basic beliefs and principles.

Unfortunately, the intellectual bias inherited the  idea about Islam from the medieval era, crystallized unjustly, had several reasons discussed here that:

Turks are infidels,  as Muslims worship Muhammad in the form of idol, which not true. It was a double error, since any image visual symbol in religious worship is anathema to Muslims. Negative image of Muhammad as an Apostle among many, neglecting the fact the series of Apostles reached its culmination by him. Islam is a branch from Judaism and Christianity, negating the fact that Qur’an revealed through him was the final and unchangeable revelation of the Divine Will.
