dear iipc cld u plz tell me why did MShaikh, who interprets even the verses which mention self defense in the Quran as being symbolic and not allowing ohysical violence, has associated himself with Ahmed Deedat, the one who supported the death penalty fatwa for Salman Rushdie for writing a book criticizing hadith “islam”? Moreover Deedat is a radical sunni who upholds hadith becuase thts where the law of killing apostates comes from. I just dont get it? Cld u kindly clarify tht for me?
